Pre-professional Programs

Pre Health AdvisingStudents interested in pursuing a career in the health care area such as medical school, osteopathic medicine, veterinary medicine, dental school or physician's assistant programs typically major in biology.

Specialized advising is available at the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Pre-Health Advising Center. Advising is available by appointment, Monday-Friday. Call 419.530.2220 to schedule in advance. It is recommended that pre-professional students meet with their advisor early in the freshman year. They should also see their biology advisor (and/or Honors advisor) to chart the best sequence of courses to prepare them for their chosen field.

Many pre-professional students are involved with the honors program, Salford Exchange program, undergraduate research and -  the National Health Pre-Professional Honor Society.
