Professional Division Admission Criteria

Students apply to the professional division of the college’s BSPS and/or PharmD program upon completing the required pre-pharmacy division prerequisite coursework. Admission to the professional division is competitive. The prerequisite coursework for both programs is very similar.

The Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences program has a capacity of 150 students in each class. The Doctor of Pharmacy program has a capacity of 108 students in each class. Approximately 250 students apply to the professional division each year.

Progression to the Professional Division - BSPS (non-PharmD track)

Students who have completed the required prerequisite coursework and have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher can be evaluated for progression to the professional division in a non-PharmD track BSPS major.

Students may declare a non-PharmD track BSPS major as early as the freshman year or until the end of the spring or summer semester of the second year by completing an . Questions? Email cppsadvising@utoledo.edu.
