Purchase suggestions

We welcome and encourage suggestions from our users to purchase new titles for the Libraries' collections. Click here to submit a purchase recommendation to the Collection Services Department. You may also direct your purchase request to the appropriate librarian liaison for a particular college, department, or subject area--see below. To request materials for the Law Library, please contact the Law Library Director.

Library Liaisons & Department Representatives

All of the University of Toledo librarians serve as liaisons to one or more colleges, departments, and/or programs.Ìý They work together and with their constituent user groups to identify and retain scholarly resources that enhance the Libraries’ collections and support the curricular and research needs of the University community. Donating Materials to the University Libraries

The University of Toledo Libraries is accepting donations (books only) this academic year for the general library collections. Prior to making your donation, we ask that you complete this donation form to submit details for our review and consideration. Upon acceptance, all donations become the property of University Libraries which retains the right to further determine retention or disposition of the material. For items the University Libraries cannot accept, potential donors are encouraged to reach out to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library. Please check the for additional information.

Please note, the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections collects, preserves, and makes available for research primary source records that document the history of the University of Toledo, Toledo-based businesses with an emphasis on the glass industry, disability history, ethnic culture, medicine and health, gender and sexuality, and municipal government.
